Meaning

Daesang is Korean for "grand prize," the highest honor at a Korean music award show. There is no single standard: the 40th Golden Disc Awards (January 2026) gave three daesang, for digital song, album and artist, while the 35th Seoul Music Awards (June 20, 2026) gave one. The Korea Grand Music Awards 2025 held two nights with three daesang categories each. MAMA AWARDS does not label any category "daesang" in its official 2025 winner list; it only names categories such as Artist of the Year. Our list runs from the most recent ceremony back, grouped by category within each show.
