Meaning

Album of the Year honors one record per ceremony and is usually a top prize. It is Album of the Year at MAMA AWARDS, 올해의 앨범 at the Melon Music Awards and the Album Daesang at the Golden Disc Awards. MAMA gave it to SEVENTEEN's SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN in 2024 and Stray Kids' KARMA in 2025. The Golden Disc Awards pick album winners by 60% sales and 40% expert judging, and only albums with at least six new songs qualify. The same ceremony also hands out album bonsang, so keep the two apart.
