What anchors IVE is pop built on self-affirmation and the pull of Wonyoung and Yujin. STARSHIP Entertainment launched the six-member group in December 2021 around Jang Wonyoung and leader An Yujin, both from IZ*ONE, and from the debut song ELEVEN it has pushed confidence and the it-girl posture without wavering. The second release, LOVE DIVE, took the group's first No. 1 on the Circle digital chart, formerly known as Gaon.
Gaeul, Yujin, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo keep renewing the hooks, from the bold sampling of After LIKE to I AM, which swept every chart outright. With Wonyoung's presence at centre and Yujin's steady vocals and hosting, the group has pulled ahead of its fourth-generation peers on one measure in particular: making hits repeatable.
HEYA from the EP IVE SWITCH, and REBEL HEART from the EP IVE EMPATHY, the sixth song by the group to reach No. 1, have kept IVE at the centre of the charts without a break since debut.
