What anchors Red Velvet is the two sides of Red and Velvet. SM Entertainment debuted the girl group on August 1, 2014 with Happiness, and after Yeri joined in 2015 the five of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy and Yeri settled as the line-up. The bright Red side and the refined, uneasy Velvet side are switched between by the same five.
The summer pop and vivid colour of Red Flavor, the R&B-leaning tension of Psycho, the classical beauty of Feel My Rhythm: each song moves into a different world. Watching the performance videos and dance practices as well shows the grace of the choreography, not only the singing and the visuals.
