ヘイロー / 헤일로
HALO were an approachable mid-sized boy group who spent as much of their run in Japan as in Korea.

Last updated:
Fever and Come On Now open brightly, and Feel So Good, Mariya and O.M.G. carry the rest; several members later turned up in Japanese audition shows.
Worth following if you found the members through their later work and want the original group.

HALO takes its name from the initials of Hexagon of Absolute Light and Organization, a six-piece boy group that debuted from HISTAR Entertainment in June 2014. The line-up running from the debut song Fever to Come On Now the same year stood out for an unclouded brightness and dancing in unison, and it built the air typical of a third-generation entrance. Dino, Inhaeng, Ooon, Jaeyong, Heecheon and Yundong each held their own routes in vocals, rap and dance as well as acting and work in Japanese, which made them easy to follow as a group and as individuals.
The easiest musical entrances are Fever, where the fresh pop feel is clearest, While You're Sleeping, where the softness of the singing comes forward, and Mariya, which stands for the bright pop of around 2016. Listening across the run that takes in Grow Up and Young Love from 2015 makes the change of texture from the early to the middle years easy to hear. A style that placed the friendliness of the songs above showy staging landed squarely in the territory that solid third-generation boy groups did best.
Here I Am in 2017 took a step toward a calmer presentation, and O.M.G. in 2018 sits as the signature song of the later period. The run lasted from 2014 to 2019, and in 2019 the members each moved on to work of their own. Heecheon went from Produce 101 Japan to a route of rediscovery with ORβIT, so the story does not stop at the group itself. Fever, then Mariya, then O.M.G. runs through the freshness of the debut, the friendliness of the middle years and the signature song of the later ones.
Editors' take Fever / Mariya / O.M.G. — a HISTAR Entertainment six-piece whose run from 2014 to 2019 fits into three songs.
No. 136 of 210 groups with recorded activity in Japan (top 65%)
The denominator is the 210 groups, out of 525 covered by KPOP DISCOVER, whose raw score reaches at least one point. The score adds 10 points per Japanese-market release, 3 per Japan-related track, 12 per member from Japan, and 8 per official Japanese account. Japanese-market releases carry the most weight because they are the most direct evidence of activity; related tracks add track-level detail; members from Japan stand for Japanese-language communication and continuity; official accounts stand for a permanent point of contact. The weights are an editorial judgement, not a statistical optimisation, and the ranking tracks release volume in Japan closely.
