What anchors PENTAGON is a large line-up that produces itself and signature songs with a fresh surface. CUBE Entertainment debuted the boy group in 2016 after an Mnet programme, putting the singing, rapping, dancing and writing forward at once. Shine in 2018 spread by word of mouth and became a large turning point that made PENTAGON widely known.
The range runs wide, from the approachability of Naughty Boy and Sha La La through the dark concept of Dr. BeBe to the aching band feel of Daisy. Daisy is the key song that led to a first music-show win, so the band feel and the harder concepts are worth following as well as the bright songs.
Several members ended their contracts with the company from 2023, but the group has not disbanded. The nine-member line-up is the reference point, and the individual agencies and solo work can be followed apart from the group work.
