The group now works as four, with Cha Eunwoo's separate career and the Moonbin & Sanha unit forming parts of the same story.

Come here for a group whose stage face is softer than most, and whose ensemble dancing is tidier than it looks.

KPOP DISCOVER's ASTRO note

What anchors ASTRO is a fresh sense of youth with a grown-up texture laid over it. Fantagio debuted the boy group with Hide & Seek, pushed bright youthfulness through Breathless and Confession, and from Crazy Sexy Cool in 2017 that freshness began to carry something a little more adult.

All Night, Blue Flame, ONE and Candy Sugar Pop are the signature songs for tracing that growth. The music videos give you the cool freshness; on stage, the soft expressions of the members and the tightness of the dancing become the way in.

Rocky left the group in 2023 and Moonbin died in April 2023. The lineup now stands at four, while the signature songs of the six-member years are kept as group history and handled with care. Taken in the order Hide & Seek, then Crazy Sexy Cool, then Blue Flame, you get the youthfulness, the turning point and the growth.

Editors' take Hide & Seek / Crazy Sexy Cool / Blue Flame — three songs cover the growth from a fresh sense of youth to a grown-up texture, in a group Fantagio built.

Japan activity score

KPOP DISCOVER original metric
No. 137/ 210 groups

No. 137 of 210 groups with recorded activity in Japan (top 65%)

  • 1Japanese releases
  • 1Japan-related tracks
  • 0Members from Japan
  • 2Official Japanese accounts

The denominator is the 210 groups, out of 525 covered by KPOP DISCOVER, whose raw score reaches at least one point. The score adds 10 points per Japanese-market release, 3 per Japan-related track, 12 per member from Japan, and 8 per official Japanese account. Japanese-market releases carry the most weight because they are the most direct evidence of activity; related tracks add track-level detail; members from Japan stand for Japanese-language communication and continuity; official accounts stand for a permanent point of contact. The weights are an editorial judgement, not a statistical optimisation, and the ranking tracks release volume in Japan closely.
