XG is JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA and COCONA, a group under XGALX that debuted with Tippy Toes on March 18, 2022. Hip-hop and R&B written around English lyrics sit at the core, and they work from a position of their own called X-pop, next door to K-pop. Listen as far as MASCARA from the same year and it is clear that restraint and force coexisted in the R&B from the start.
For a way in, take Tippy Toes, SHOOTING STAR, LEFT RIGHT and WOKE UP. Tippy Toes confirms the axis, SHOOTING STAR opens the reach of global pop, and LEFT RIGHT delivers easy listening with finished choreography. WOKE UP hands the rap to all seven members, so the individual skills and characters appear at once. From quiet strength to a sharp edge, those four songs map the swing of the music.
In 2024, WOKE UP and the album cuts HOWLING and IYKYK from AWE renewed the intensity of performance and visuals, and in 2025 GALA came through world tours and big stages to point toward a full album. Go on to HYPNOTIZE and ROCK THE BOAT from the 1st full album THE CORE, released in January 2026, and where XG stands now becomes clear.
