From debut to now
- 2023Through Dream Academy, the global audition project run by HYBE and Geffen Records, six final members were chosen as KATSEYE.
- 2024Debut came in June and Touch in July, and the 1st EP SIS (Soft Is Strong) in August settled a soft pop line for the debut period.
- 2025The 2nd EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS brought Gnarly, Gabriela and Gameboy, and the video and Performance Video for Gabriela drew attention worldwide.
- 2026PINKY UP led the way into a new direction, and Coachella plus other global events widened their presence as an English-language girl group next door to K-pop.

KPOP DISCOVER's KATSEYE note
KATSEYE came out of Dream Academy, the audition project HYBE and Geffen Records set up together, forming in 2023 as a six-member group. The members have roots in the Philippines, Switzerland, the United States and Korea, and the group sits where Korean-style training volume meets English-language pop without a seam. Debut opened things in June 2024, Touch followed the next month, and the 1st EP SIS (Soft Is Strong) in August of that year fixed a direction that treats friendship and self-belief lightly rather than shouting them.
If the choice is hard, Touch is the natural place to start. A short hook that sticks, bright group dance and the face of each member all arrive at once. Moving on to the 2nd EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS from 2025, the change of colour is startling enough that it hardly sounds like the same act. Gnarly is the first proof that cute alone had been let go, with quirks in the sound, the imagery and the words clearly apart from what came before. Gabriela layers the heat of Latin pop over drama-shaped visuals and, paired with the Performance Video, became a worldwide talking point.
PINKY UP opened a visually sharper chapter in 2026, and WILD was released in August. Exposure on global stages including Coachella has grown, and the position of an English-language girl group adjacent to K-pop has come into focus. Touch, then Gabriela, then PINKY UP runs from a bright entry through Latin heat to the sharper new chapter.

KATSEYE is named after the cat's eye gemstone, whose light shifts colour with the angle, mirroring the range of the six members.
Hometown
Official storytelling gives the six hometowns as Atlanta, Los Angeles, Lucerne, Honolulu, Manila and Seoul, so the mix of nationalities is the identity itself.
