UNIQ debuted from Yuehua Entertainment in October 2014 as a five-piece bringing Korean and Chinese members together. Yixuan, Sungjoo, Wenhan, Seungyoun and Yibo were assembled with both the Korean wave and C-pop in mind from the start, which gave this third-generation boy group a position rare among K-pop acts.
If the order is unclear, Falling In Love, then EOEO, then Best Friend is the easiest path. The debut song Falling In Love suits getting the whole picture of the five, and EOEO in 2015 raises the density of the performing a level. Best Friend, released the same year, shows a softer face turned towards fans, and the three together make the breadth of the music plain.
From 2016 individual careers grew alongside group activity, and as of 2020 the situation is not an official disbanding but a period of separate work. Seungyoun works as WOODZ and under the X1 name, Yibo drew huge attention in China as an actor and dancer, Wenhan went to UNINE, Yixuan to New Storm and Sungjoo towards acting. The run Falling In Love, EOEO, Best Friend takes in the whole picture, the density of the performing and the softer face.
