Ruru, Bona, Eunbyeol, Hayoung and Ryu-Z anchor the group as it is usually remembered, across a handful of releases.
Worth a look if you are filling in the girl groups of 2013 that never reached the charts.

Baeksang Entertainment sent out TREN-D on October 2, 2013, a girl group of five made up of Ruru, Bona, Eunbyeol, Hayoung and Ryu-Z. Alongside the flagship groups of the major labels, the K-pop scene of the 2010s held many acts from smaller companies. Placing TREN-D in the same context as CHI-CHI, She'z and Blady brings out the working conditions of the time and the differences that came with company size.
The way in is the debut song Candy Boy. Bright dance pop, it mirrors the early picture of the group directly. Pitapat from 2014 sits on the same line, and the two together give the colour of the debut period. By Jung in 2015 the mood has shifted, and it is easy to follow on music show stages. Put the three side by side and the changes in the music read clearly even inside a short catalogue.
Whoo arrived in 2016, and activity continued while the line-up was tidied up. This was not a group that recorded a big hit, and that is exactly why it shows so concretely the conditions small scale girl groups faced in the early 2010s. Play Candy Boy, then Pitapat, then Jung for the early picture, the colour of the debut period and the change in the later stretch.
Editors' take Candy Boy / Pitapat / Jung — the move from bright dance pop to the later years in three songs, from a five-piece out of Baeksang Entertainment.
