TEMPEST appeared in Korea on March 2, 2022 with the debut song Bad News. The six-piece under Yuehua Entertainment built itself on a bright sense of youth and forceful group choreography. From early on Shining Up, On and On and Dragon followed in quick succession, moving between speed and freshness and settling a position among fourth-generation acts. A change of members in 2024 left the current six, and the stages have only grown tighter.
The ways in are Bad News, Dragon and Vroom Vroom. Bad News delivers the energy of the debut and the resolution of the group choreography at once. Dragon adds weight to the sound and shows a side apart from the freshness. Vroom Vroom stands out for the drive riding on a light beat, and it packs the pop core particular to the group in the clearest form. Lined up together the three trace the change in sound from the start through 2023.
From 2024 the Korean and Japanese work began to run in parallel. BANG! and BUBBLE GUM came out in Japan through the Nippon Columbia route, and in 2025 the group took on My Way as the opening theme of a TV anime. In Korea Re: Full Of Youth and As I Am stacked up, with Destiny arriving the same year. Bad News, then Vroom Vroom, then BANG! runs through the heat of the debut, the pop particular to the group and the texture of the work in Japan.
