What anchors NU'EST is the hard questions of the early period and a matured synth pop. The five-piece debuted from PLEDIS Entertainment in 2012, and from the debut song FACE, which faces the pressure of school and society, they were remembered as a group carrying a tension slightly unlike the rest of K-pop.
The way in is FACE, Love Paint, BET BET and INSIDE OUT. FACE gives the question-raising image, Love Paint in 2016 the polished concept work, BET BET in 2019 the proper return as five, and INSIDE OUT the move into the matured period.
After appearing on Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017, NU'EST W, made up of JR, Baekho, Ren and Aron, drew attention, and Minhyun rejoined after his work with Wanna One. Activity as the group itself closed with Needle & Bubble and Again in 2022, so they are gathered here as disbanded.
