What anchors NCT 127 is an experimental sound based in Seoul and group choreography of real difficulty. SM Entertainment debuted seven members on July 7, 2016 with Fire Truck, then widened the line-up as Johnny and Doyoung and later Jungwoo joined; the 127 in the name is the longitude of Seoul and marks it as the Seoul-based unit within NCT.
