Jewelry is a K-pop girl group that debuted from Star Empire Entertainment on March 30, 2001. Their career ran straight from the close of the first generation into the second and continued until 2015. There are broadly three phases: the early and middle years with Park Jung-ah and Seo In-young, the period around One More Time once Baby J and Eunjung had joined, and the new member era from 2011 onward. The name carries the idea of individuality cut like a gemstone, and the fandom was called Jewelry Box.
Super Star, One More Time and Look At Me are the three easiest to pick as an entry. Super Star landed in 2005 as a hit of popular dance pop, and One More Time, released in 2008, became the biggest signature song of all, widely known for its repeating hook and its dance. The 2009 album Sophisticated also holds Vari2ty and Love Story, which shows how thick the peak period really was. The genres sit on K-pop, Dance Pop and R&B Pop, with a grown-up texture surfacing depending on the year.
Back It Up and Pass announced the start of the new member era in 2011, and Look At Me in 2012 settled the look and the sound of the later line-up. Hot & Cold in 2013 featured Hyung Sik of ZE:A, making the ties inside Star Empire visible on a single. The long career closed in 2015, and each member stepped on toward acting, solo music or television.
