What anchors Wonder Girls is a hook the whole country knew and a later turn into a band-format group. As a girl group that stands for the early years of JYP Entertainment, they debuted with Irony in 2007 and spread the choreography and the hook of Tell Me across Korea the same year. The retro trilogy that runs on through So Hot and Nobody is the way to understand the mass appeal of the second generation.
From 2009 they pushed into the United States with the English version of Nobody and other work, becoming an important early case of K-pop aimed at markets abroad. After changes in the line-up, they settled into a four-member form of Yubin, Yeeun, Sunmi and Hyelim.
REBOOT in 2015 rebuilt them as a band-format group with the members holding instruments, and I Feel You and Why So Lonely raised how their musicianship was judged. They disbanded after Draw Me in 2017. Tell Me, then Nobody, then Why So Lonely runs from the hook everyone sang to the rebuild.
