KPOP DISCOVER's ICHILLIN' note
ICHILLIN' is more interesting taken as a run of shifting temperatures than as one fixed concept. The lightness of GOT'YA and FRESH gives way to the hardness of Siren and DEMIGOD, and XL (Extra Love) opens the air out again.
The official channel stacks Dance Practice and Performance Video on top of the MV for the same song. Listening in release order and then crossing between video formats reveals the real strength: even as the size of the lineup changes, formation and expression build the impression of each track.
Editors' take A group that moves between brightness and tension, letting choreography video bring out what each song is.
