KPOP DISCOVER's FANTASY BOYS note
FANTASY BOYS come into focus less through the story that comes from the television programme than through the formations of a large lineup in the official videos. Start with the wide screen of New Tomorrow, then check the sharpness of the movement on One Shot.
Move through Potential, another Korean song from the same stretch, and Undeniable, and the change shows itself: the brightness of youth stays while the sound and the expressions grow thicker. The Japanese-language versions and the Japanese album are easiest to follow as a shelf kept separate from the Korean activity.
Editors' take Alternating between the music videos and the Performance Videos brings out the spread of a 12-strong lineup and the change of recent years.

Japan activity score
KPOP DISCOVER original metric
No. 33/ 241 groups
No. 33 of 241 groups with recorded activity in Japan (top 14%)
- 6Japanese releases
- 25Japan-related tracks
- 2Members from Japan
- 0Official Japanese accounts
The denominator is the 241 groups, out of 564 covered by KPOP DISCOVER, whose raw score reaches at least one point. The score adds 10 points per Japanese-market release, 3 per Japan-related track, 12 per member from Japan, and 8 per official Japanese account. Japanese-market releases carry the most weight because they are the most direct evidence of activity; related tracks add track-level detail; members from Japan stand for Japanese-language communication and continuity; official accounts stand for a permanent point of contact. The weights are an editorial judgement, not a statistical optimisation, and the ranking tracks release volume in Japan closely.
