KPOP DISCOVER's AHOF note

AHOF turns on fast growth out of Universe League and on a multinational line-up. Born from SBS Universe League, this 9-member boys group under F&F Entertainment takes its name from All-time Hall Of Famer, and because the Korean word for nine stands behind it, the name carries the aim of 9 members reaching the hall of fame of K-pop.

Start from Rendezvous, The Universe and Pinocchio. Rendezvous gives the band sound and the emotional line of the debut, The Universe a bright youthful feel, and Pinocchio a fairy-tale concept with the newest performance, and together they show how much ground was covered in a short time.

The members carry Korean, Korean-Australian, Filipino, Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese backgrounds. The popularity of JL in the Philippines and the route Daisuke opens in Japan mean the closer you look at individuals, the more ways in appear. Taken as Rendezvous, then The Universe, then Pinocchio, the path covers the emotional line, the youthful feel and the fairy-tale concept.

Editors' take Rendezvous / The Universe / Pinocchio — 3 songs carry the fast growth out of Universe League and the multinational line-up, from an F&F 9-piece.

Japan activity score

KPOP DISCOVER original metric
No. 162/ 210 groups

No. 162 of 210 groups with recorded activity in Japan (top 77%)

  • 0Japanese releases
  • 0Japan-related tracks
  • 1Members from Japan
  • 1Official Japanese accounts

The denominator is the 210 groups, out of 525 covered by KPOP DISCOVER, whose raw score reaches at least one point. The score adds 10 points per Japanese-market release, 3 per Japan-related track, 12 per member from Japan, and 8 per official Japanese account. Japanese-market releases carry the most weight because they are the most direct evidence of activity; related tracks add track-level detail; members from Japan stand for Japanese-language communication and continuity; official accounts stand for a permanent point of contact. The weights are an editorial judgement, not a statistical optimisation, and the ranking tracks release volume in Japan closely.
