KPOP DISCOVER's Weki Meki note
What anchors Weki Meki is the strong energy of teen crush and the polish of the later years. Fantagio Music debuted the eight-piece girl group in 2017, and with Yoojung and Doyeon from I.O.I in the line-up the team drew interest early, pushing a hard teen crush energy to the front.
The ways in are Picky Picky, Cool and CoinciDestiny. Picky Picky carries the bursting character particular to them, Cool the polish of the later years, and CoinciDestiny closes the history as the final single.
Following through I don't like your Girlfriend, La La La, Crush, Tiki-Taka and Oopsy shows brightness, slightly sharp lyrics, performance and a grown-up texture in the later years. Official group activity ended on August 8, 2024. Picky Picky, then Cool, then CoinciDestiny runs through the character, the polish and the close of the history.
Editors' take Picky Picky / Cool / CoinciDestiny — a Fantagio eight-piece running from teen crush to later polish in three songs.
