U-KISS debuted from NH Media in August 2008 as a boy group whose line-up across Korea, Japan and the English-speaking world stood out from the start. The name comes from the initials of Ubiquitous Korean International idol Super Star, so the mix of nationalities was declared in the name itself. From the debut New Generation through Bring It Back 2 Old School to Man Man Ha Ni around 2009, the image of a second-generation dance group took shape.
The four songs worth holding on to as an entrance are Man Man Ha Ni, 0330, NEVERLAND and Stop Girl. Man Man Ha Ni cuts the group's presence with sharp dancing, while 0330 turns towards a ballad where the vocals and an emotional melody carry everything. NEVERLAND in 2011 concentrates the momentum of the signature period into club-style speed, and Stop Girl the following year moved both the visuals and the sound one step calmer and more grown-up. Not many groups change texture that much inside the same stretch of years.
The Japanese debut Tick Tack at the end of 2011 was the start of a long run in the Japanese market alongside the Korean catalogue.
