From debut to now
- 2026On May 7, HYBE announced ABD (A Bold Dream), a new label devoted to girl groups. On July 20 the name TUIDE and its logo were unveiled and official accounts opened on social media. The name comes from the phrase Tune the tide. A pre-debut showcase, TUIDE EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW [PLAYGROUND], ran for two days from August 1 in Mapo, Seoul. On August 3 the seven-member lineup was revealed, with the debut date announced as August 24. Seoyeon was also revealed to be the younger sister of TWICE's Jihyo. On August 24 they debuted with SUN KISS, the title track of their 1st EP TUNE & PLAY, and held a showcase at YES24 Live Hall. On August 27 the group took its first music show stage on M COUNTDOWN with SUN KISS and GRLS.

Japan activity score
KPOP DISCOVER original metric
No. 185/ 241 groups
No. 185 of 241 groups with recorded activity in Japan (top 77%)
- 0Japanese releases
- 0Japan-related tracks
- 1Members from Japan
- 1Official Japanese accounts
The denominator is the 241 groups, out of 564 covered by KPOP DISCOVER, whose raw score reaches at least one point. The score adds 10 points per Japanese-market release, 3 per Japan-related track, 12 per member from Japan, and 8 per official Japanese account. Japanese-market releases carry the most weight because they are the most direct evidence of activity; related tracks add track-level detail; members from Japan stand for Japanese-language communication and continuity; official accounts stand for a permanent point of contact. The weights are an editorial judgement, not a statistical optimisation, and the ranking tracks release volume in Japan closely.
