Lee Sung-woo, Vovo, Hwang Hyun-sung and Jeong Min-jun have kept the live circuit going for longer than most Korean bands have existed.
Come here for the loud, communal end of Korean rock rather than the studio end.

No Brain is a four-piece band born in July 1998 out of the indie and punk scene around Drug Records. Lee Sung-woo, Vovo, Hwang Hyun-sung and Jeong Min-jun arrived as an act carrying the first impulse of Korean punk. They debuted in an era before idol-format K-pop had taken shape as an industry, dragging rough guitars and the heat of a live house behind them.
The songs to name as an entrance are Youth 98, Little Baby and Radio Radio. Starting from Youth 98, which shares its title with the year of the debut, gives a direct sense of what the Korean punk scene sounded like then. Little Baby puts the live feel that pulls an audience in right at the front, and Radio Radio widens the sense of the band further. The music is classified as K-rock and punk rock, but three songs in a row show the outline better than any description.
You Have a Crush on Me became a signature song that keeps being played from 2001, That Is Youth in 2007 showed a face reaching a wider audience, and in 2013 the official music video for Soju Shot was published. The album 25 arrived in 2021, and more than two decades after the debut the band is still moving. A catalogue built across festivals, clubs, television and anthems runs as Youth 98, then You Have a Crush on Me, then That Is Youth, covering the first impulse, the signature song and the widening of youth rock.
Editors' take Youth 98 / You Have a Crush on Me / That Is Youth — three songs cover the first impulse of Korean punk through to the widening of youth rock, in a four-piece band.
