MelodyDay debuted on February 25, 2014 as the three of Yeoeun, Yein and Chahee, with Yoomin joining the same year to make four, signed to Cre.Ker Entertainment. They had taken part in drama soundtracks before the debut, so a reputation for singing ran ahead of the group starting to move. Many people came in by hearing a voice on a soundtrack and then looking up the name, and the ground for all four to sing as individuals was there from the start.
The three songs to recommend as an entrance are Another Parting, Speed Up and Kiss On The Lips. Another Parting is the debut song, and the base line of a ballad that stacks feeling carefully comes through directly. Speed Up leans towards dance pop and showed a range beyond the ballad direction. Kiss On The Lips carries the brighter air of the later period, and put beside the other two the expression that changed year by year becomes clear.
In 2017 Yeoeun, Yoomin and Chahee took part in The Unit, widening their individual routes alongside the group work.
