What anchors Girl's Day is the turn from a cute direction to a grown-up one. The girl group debuted in 2010 and widened recognition a great deal as the four of Sojin, Yura, Minah and Hyeri, and the run from the bright early songs into the grown-up direction of Expectation, Female President and Something is what matters.
The way in is Twinkle Twinkle, Expectation, Something and Ring My Bell. Something in particular is easy to treat as the signature song, and putting it beside Darling and Ring My Bell shows the balance of wide appeal and maturity.
The releases run from the early songs of 2010 through to I'll Be Yours in 2017, and the members' acting and variety work is gathered separately from the group itself. Something, then Expectation, then Ring My Bell covers the turn, the grown-up direction and the momentum of the later period.
Editors' take Something / Expectation / Ring My Bell — three songs cover the turn from a cute direction to a grown-up one, in a four-piece girl group.
