SG Wannabe is a four-piece vocal group that debuted on January 20, 2004. Kim Yong-jun, Kim Jin-ho, Lee Seok-hoon and Chae Dong-ha put the voices and the storytelling to the front and arrived with drama-style music videos. Coming from Mnet Media and Stone Music Entertainment, they became a group that stands for Korean popular music in the second generation, built on ballads and R&B.
For a first listen the three songs are Timeless, Partner for Life and Lalala. Timeless gives the heavy three-part harmony of the debut period at once. Partner for Life shows how carefully the arrangements stack up the ache, and moving to the brighter colour of Lalala brings the range of the voices into view.
