KPOP Meaning
A daily chart ranks songs or albums for a single day. Genie splits its TOP200 into periods that include a daily view, and Melon's daily chart is quoted in the press by date. Hanteo's daily chart ranks album sales, not songs. Circle Chart, by contrast, publishes weekly, monthly, half-year and yearly periods but no daily chart. Services also close the day at different times, so do not assume a midnight-to-midnight window. Days at No. 1 are a common measure of staying power: NMIXX's "Blue Valentine" logged 30 days atop Melon's daily chart.
