Meaning

Launched in September 2020, the Billboard Global 200 ranks songs by weighted streams (paid and ad-supported) and downloads from major digital platforms in more than 200 territories; radio is not included. A companion chart, the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., uses the same data without the United States. BTS's "Dynamite" placed No. 2 on the very first Global 200. Jung Kook's "Seven" hit No. 1 on the chart dated July 29, 2023, and held it through September 9. Use the Hot 100 for U.S. success and the Global 200 for worldwide reach.

Usage

Quoted when a song is a worldwide streaming hit: "No. 1 on the Global 200." Say whether you mean the version with or without the U.S.

Examples

  • Seven (feat. Latto) — Reached No. 1 on the chart dated July 29, 2023, and stayed on top through September 9.
  • Pink Venom — Spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Global 200 and three on the Global Excl. U.S.
